Do you ever have a conversation and ten seconds after it has ended you barely remember a sentence from it? You lose the whole gist, but you cling to some notion of the data that you think was correct that you had written down before the conversation occurred.
The time when you were supposed to do something approaches and passes and, though still unsure, you insist to yourself that you are right. Why don’t you ask and find out? Because you are a little embarrassed. It is not as embarrassing as finding out that you made the error and missed an appointment though. It is odd the shapes that we cast the day in, when just having a conversation might make it run smooth. Silence is not always golden.
