The whole tag team idea of these two nanowrimo stories seem to be proving true, and it seems to be paying dividends. Pad Elephant pulled ahead again and shaded into something a little darker, but something a little more full-bodied. Dane, the main character, is becoming more complex, and his history is filling out nicely. I haven’t really explored the psychology of the other character, Jonas, yet, but he is going to be more interestingly coloured just because the hints of what happened between him and Dane have become more complex and puzzling for me. This means the journey is going to be interesting, and the discovery of what is meant by the newer elements of the story will probably throw up more questions that demand more looking and more answers.
By tomorrow I am hoping that Agrypnotic has stewed enough for the flavour to rise and more story to come seeping out. I am sure that will be the case. It is a very organic process, and I only wish I had thought of it last year. It took the suggestion of a friend to spur me on to it this year, and I am grateful for the challenge to write twice as much, because it really has opened up the possibility of having a lot more work by the end of the month.
