I started writing a poetry book offline today. i think I am going to be moving into a new phase. I want to write more confessional and personal poetry, but I am also interested in something more expansive and mythical in flavour. When I was younger I was very much into mythology, and have a big interest in that direction.

I want to start moving faster and producing more substantial works – meaning in larger size and scope, and that of course means some novel work this year. An actual finished longform piece seems more than a necessity now.

I dawdle around in obscurity still, to a degree, and of course, like all writers, i would like to change this … and my best chance at even the smallest amount of posterity is going to be a novel. Well, that could be a totally unnecessary consideration on my part … maybe I already wrote the poem that guaranteed me a place in the history books. But anyway, a novel would be the thing I most want to finish. i have some that are fairly far along, and they are calling to me. Time to answer.
