Crutches to writing suggest to me that you need help getting around in your writing – all those gimmicks you need in order to be able to write are unnecessary. Actually in my opinion they are the very thing that cripples you.
You should be able to write anywhere and write anything, and not need a mascot in order to do it. All of that shit is so many excuses as to why you can’t write when you can’t write. Use what you have – use where you are. It is hard in a universe this interesting and this inspiring not to find something that inspires you.
I may expand on this thought later – but I got to this thought a little later in the day than I intended – so here is something short and sweet that I am throwing out there – write; if you do not write you are not a writer.
