I started watching ‘Weeds’ today and I have to say that I am relieved to find that drama about potheads is infinitely more interesting than talking to potheads. The episodes seem to be a little bit shorter than a lot of tv shows that I watch but the length works and the series is flying by. the characters all seem pretty authentic and the storylines are believable.

it kind of reminds me a little bit of ‘Desperate Housewives’ and ‘Six Feet Under’ for the tone, and that is a good thing by the way. part of me has a more than strong temptation to write something like this – i have written episodic fiction before and i love tv, so once i have researched the correct formatting you might be seeing something along those lines from me.

i once studied media studies and got to use an editing board and learned how to operate a tv studio and we made a film. i haven’t seen that film in over ten years, i wonder how badly it stood the test of time. i also recorded some stuff back then and my sense of being a completist makes me wish i had copies. anyway – the future beckons and i am interested in expanding my horizons as far as the creative outlets i utilise. it should be exciting.
